Candidates across southeast Tennessee turned in qualifying petitions Thursday to run for public office.
People seeking state House and Senate seats will run in the Aug. 3 party primary elections and those winners will face off in the Nov. 7 general election.
Those running for nonpartisan municipal and county offices will compete in the Aug. 3 county general election. (I) denotes incumbent.
