A 26-year-old man was shot and killed by a friend early Saturday morning, police said.
James Adams Mason, of 5750 Lake Resort Drive, Apt. E 101, died from a gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Tim Carroll, head of the Chattanooga Police Department homicide unit.
The shooting appears to be accidental, and the man who fired the weapon probably will not face charges, Sgt. Carroll said.
