Tennessee state Sen. Rosalind Kurita, D-Clarksville, announced today that she has withdrawn from the U.S. Senate Democratic primary race against U.S. Rep. Harold Ford Jr., D-Tenn.
This is a huge race, and I did everything that I could, Sen. Kurita said in an interview. Unfortunately it was just not going to be enough to make it happen.
Sen. Kurita would not say if she will endorse or campaign on behalf of Rep. Ford.
