Davis seeks judicial post

By Michael Davis

Staff Writer

Chattanooga lawyer Bob Davis kicked off his campaign this week for the Division I judicial post for Hamilton County General Sessions Court.

Mr. Davis said his 33 years of experience practicing both civil and criminal law as well as experience on the bench make him the ideal candidate to succeed Judge Richard Holcomb, who is not seeking re-election.

A kickoff reception for Mr. Davis campaign will take place Apr. 20 at the Bessie Smith Museum from 5 to 7 p.m.

Also seeking the General Sessions Court Division I seat are assistant public defender Michael Acuff and Chattanooga lawyers Hank Hill, Christy Mahn Sell and Randy Russell.

Early voting for the Aug. 3 General Sessions Court election is July 14-29.
