Two Hamilton County Jail corrections officers are on medical leave after receiving scrapes and cuts during an attack last week, officials said today.
Five jail inmates attacked two corrections officers Friday at around 11 p.m. in an attempt to escape, jail Chief Jim Hart said today.
The chief said he would not release the names of the inmates suspected in the incident because the investigation is ongoing.
Chief Hart said physicians for the officers recommended they take leave, but their injuries were not serious.
