Jack Roush struck it big last year by having half the field in the NASCAR Chase for the Nextel Cup Championship, and in doing so raised the bar on what an organization can achieve.
However, with three of his teams out of the top 20 after seven races, Roush decided recently to shake things up within the organization by switching Carl Edwards' crew chief, Bob Osborne, to head up Jamie McMurray’s effort. Edwards now has a rookie crew chief, Wally Brown, and veteran leader Jimmy Fennig has been sent off to head up the Busch series teams.
Is this move headed for a happy ending? Should we trust that Roush knows what he's talking about? Or does it speak of panic? Just how many teams will Roush get into the Chase this year?
