The Rev. Bernie Miller, who is running for Hamilton County Commission District 5, said today that he would like to see the consolidation of some city and county services.
“I’m not in favor of a metro government, but I think that certain services like even the police department … and the sheriff’s department could merge,” he said. “They could still have their own chiefs.”
Dr. Miller said he would also like to see some utilities consolidated, in hopes of getting better prices for consumers.
Dr. Miller is running as a Republican against Democratic Commissioner Greg Beck in the Aug. 3 county general election.
