Hank Williams Jr. brought a massive crowd to Ross’s Landing as the headline act for Riverbend 2006.
“We try to come to the festival every year,”said David Harris of Chickamauga, Ga. “I want to see Hank and the Allman Brothers next weekend, but it’ll be hard to beat Lynard Skynard —; that was the best I’ve ever seen.”
The nine-day festival features three side stages, in addition to the main stage built on a barge moored in the Tennessee River, where more than 100 acts will perform.
Gates to the Ross’s Landing festival site open daily at 4:30 p.m. with the exception of Monday, when all action shifts to M.L. King Boulevard for the Bessie Smith Strut beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Saturday’s headliners are Angie Stone and Jagged Edge.
