Cell tower company executives said today in Chattanooga the wireless industry is expected to maintain strong growth prospects into the foreseeable future.
“More and more communication is migrating to wireless,” said John Kelly, chief executive of Crown Castle International, at a joint meeting of the Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama wireless associations.
Jeff Stoops, SBA Network Services’ chief executive, said the future of his tower company is tied to the health of the wireless companies, such as Cingular and T-Mobile.
“There are a lot of good reasons the tower industry will grow,” said Mr. Stoops to several hundred people.
Paul Estes, chief executive of Cequel Cites, said more people want to be mobile.
He said he sees “prolonged long-term growth in the industry.”
