Members of the Chattanooga Police Departments fugitive unit are looking for a Chattanooga man wanted in connection with an early morning shooting.

Devon King, 27, will be charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault after allegedly shooting a 56-year-old man in the face, major crimes Detective James Holloway said.

The victim was shot at his Dalewood apartment and is being treated at Erlanger hospital for his wound, which does not appear to be life-threatening, Chattanooga Police Department major crimes Detective James Holloway said.

Detective Holloway said the victim is heavily sedated and was not able to be interviewed this afternoon. However a witness was able to positively identify the suspect as Mr. King.

Mr. King apparently is an acquaintance of the victim, who had been at his apartment before the shooting, Detective Holloway said. The suspect apparently left and returned to 3201 Pinewood Ave. around 6:30 a.m. and shot the victim, the detective said.
