Sam Bush didn't show up to play with The Waybacks, but a boat load of other people did. The AmSouth Bank Stage was more packed than I ever saw it last year. Sam did, however, put on a scorching show with his band. He wields the mandolin like Pete Townshend wields a guitar.



As for Hank Jr., he played his hits and a few by some other folks including Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” and ZZ Top’s “LaGrange.” I’m not sure if he promised to play a clean show like Kid Rock last year, but he cursed a few times and no one seemed to care.
