Bonnaroo worker dies in accident

Staff Report

A contract worker helping prepare the Bonnaroo Festival venue died when he fell from a truck Sunday, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol dispatchers.

Trooper Charlie Harris said the incident occurred when Hillario S. Suarez, 27, of Roswell, Ga., fell from the bed a 2001 Ford F-350 truck while traveling on New Bushy Branch Road in Coffee County.

Mr. Suarez was holding an awning that had been built offsite and was being delivered to the Bonnaroo venue when a gust of wind blew him and the awning out of the vehicle, Trooper Harris said.

The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but died from head injuries sustained in the accident, officials said.
