No, it’s not Michael McDonald night again. It’s country and western and culture night at Riverbend tonight. Kenny Rogers is taking the stage with the CSO. Over at the UnumProvident, which is actually the eastern-most stage, festival organizers set up a cowboy theme with Katy Moffat, Juni Fisher and Sons of the San Joaquin performing classic western tunes all night.
Although he's playing at the Strut tomorrow, I'm headed to see Jimbo Mathus right now at the Covista, and doing my best to not melt. I'll also keep my eyes open for men who look like Kenny Rogers.
