Scenic City Sounds: River Fest Rocks

Filed by M. Trevor Higgins

Sugarland said they were glad to be on the big stage at “River Fest.” The crowd at Riverbend was glad to see the band, and sang along through their quick set. At least Sugarland got the Chattanooga and Tennessee right. One excited fan wore a homemade cowboy hat constructed from Miller Lite boxes.

There was a huge turnout for Overland at the Bud Light Tent. I even saw a few old Overland T-shirts in the crowd.

Before putting on an excellent show at the UnumProvident Stage, The Duhks were sitting the crowd for Lucas Reynolds, who himself sounded really sharp for his first show with a new band.

My second podcast of the week is up. Check it out for an interview with Tea Leaf Green, info on the art of dipping corn dogs and a Riverbend edition of Elliot Reviews ... Something.
