If Garth was in Chattanooga today he wasn't on the Coke barge. Not that anyone seemed to mind. The crowd sang along with Trisha Yearwood who was in chatty mood and talked quite a bit between songs. On this night, no Garth also meant no wedding ring on stage for Trisha.
Toward the end of Alex Skolnick’s excellent set, which include tunes from Rush, Ozzy and KISS, he said, “You know Trisha Yearwood’s playing over there” and started to laugh. In the audience for his set were Charlie Yates, who played AmSouth earlier in the week, and members of DDS.
Crank Sanatra, new vocalist in tow, sounded great on the UnumProvident Stage. The crowd loved it, as people in front of the stage crowd surfed and people on the Holmberg Bridge stopped to listen. Several members of Milele Roots stuck around for the show.
Eight down, one more to go.
