A 20-year-old man died after crashing his truck early Saturday on Sandswitch Road in Hixson, according to Sgt. Tom Layne of the Chattanooga Police Department.
The wreck occurred about 1 a.m. when Sean Cole, of Hixson, ran off the road, over-compensated while trying to regain control of his truck and slammed into two utility poles, Sgt. Layne said.
Mr. Cole was ejected from the vehicle, which came to stop in the front yard of a house in the 6700 block of Sandswitch Road, the sergeant said.
Two female passengers, both juveniles, were hospitalized with what were thought to be nonlife-threatening crash related injuries, Sgt. Layne said.
Speed was a contributing factor in this crash, he said.
