First Person: Some things to do before the weekend

Filed by Nikole Dugger

Here are a few links to fill the remainder of the workday before I trek off for a long-weekend of assuming guestbook duties at a Tri-Cities-area wedding.

--The BBC has posted an interesting package on making cities work in the 21st century. Dontan, China, Moscow and Mexico City are among those featured.

-- Whether you’re planning a jump across the pond and want to know which tourist traps to avoid, or just want to see the British critique American pronunciation (Edinboro Cassel), this should do the trick.

-- FYI: German patriotism is back, and so are the Coreys.

-- Personally, I prefer adding -mart to all references, but apparently, the marketers at Target are going with ‘Tar-zhay.’
