Welcome to summer.

I’ve always been a windows down kinda’ girl, but after a drenching afternoon venture, allow me to recommend the A/C for the foreseeable future.

So, Michael Wilbon says the best team hoisted the Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy last night. Shouldn’t this also be a victory for SEC basketball? Six of the 13 players on the Heat’s playoff roster hail from the Southeastern Conference, including: Shaq (LSU), Jason Williams (Florida), Antoine Walker (Kentucky) and Udonis Haslam (Florida).

The Miss Tennessee pageant is coming up this weekend in Jackson. Rachel Parsons, Miss Chattanooga, is already in town. You can go here to vote for the hometown girl as your favorite. She happens to be a product of the University of Tennessee’s School of Journalism and Electronic Media, and you can’t go wrong there.
