Via the plucky Jay Nordlinger of National Review, I came across an Associated Press article on the case of a teacher in Massachusetts who pretended to have cancer, then spent $37,000 in donations on jewels and a vacation.
“This was a situation where she couldn’t stand the pressure of opportunity,” said Heather Faria’s attorney.
The pressure of opportunity, eh?
I notice that the attorney’s last name —; no joke —; is “O’Boy.”
I’ll say.
