Brazil sends Ghana home

Ghana made its first appearance in the second round of the World Cup but faced five-time champion Brazil and got no further today. Led by Ronaldo’s record 15th career World Cup goal in the fifth minute, Brazil beat the African team 3-0. Adriano scored just before halftime and Ze Roberto added the third goal in the 84th minute. Brazil will play the winner of this afternoon’s France-Spain match in the quarterfinals.
