In case you were wondering, Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield said he never was approached by representatives of E-Cycle, the undercover company set up by FBI officials in the Tennessee Waltz corruption sting.
I was surprised they didnt, Mr. Littlefield said. They talked to (Hamilton County Mayor) Claude Ramsey and all sorts of people with the county, so I would have thought theyd try to talk to the city, but they didnt.
City Council members Sally Robinson, Dan Page, Jack Benson, John Franklin Jr. and Leamon Pierce, who were in office when the sting went down last year, also said they had no contact with E-Cycle representatives. Nor had they heard of anybody in the city that dealt with the bogus company.
I never heard of E-Cycle until I read about it in the newspaper, Ms. Robinson said.
