Seven victims of a March 11 house fire in Evensville, Tenn., that left nine dead were buried this afternoon. About 50 people attended a memorial service at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton.
Reba Alexander, 42, died along with two daughters, five grandchildren and her adopted brother. Local officials said the accidental blaze caused the greatest loss of life from a fire in Rhea Countys 200-year history. Family members said they are reeling from the loss.
I dont think it will ever be closed, said Jena Alexander, sister and aunt of the victims. Ill never forget my sister, my nephews or nieces or my brother.
The other victims include Krystal Edwards, 25; Misti Alexander, 23; John Smith II, 17; Jennifer Edwards, 10; Lexie Weeks, 6; Angeldawn Weeks, 2; Jaden Sullivan, 1, and Clarissa Peekaboo Sanchez, 1.
The Weeks children will be buried in Florida.
