Apple Computer has won a second copyright battle with Apple Corps, the Beatles record company. They had previously agreed not to enter the music business. The judge bought their argument that they were in the business of data transmission, not selling music downloads. Go figure.
Anyway it's good news for iTunes users who download from the Apple store.
Speaking of Apple, they're suing again, at least threatening to sue a MacBook Pro user who figured out why the computer runs so hot. Apparently it has something to do with how thermal glue is applied to the heat sink. This company makes some of the finest hardware on the face of the earth and also sues more than most. Look for a PR fiasco to come out of this.
Finally there is a lot of talk these days about the 3D Web, apparently the next big thing online. This includes everything from virtual reality sites to clothes modeling sites, etc. As broadband connections become more common, this could really take off in a few years.
