In the Division II East Region, host McCallie beat Baylor 7-5 tonight for the Blue Tornado’s third win over Baylor this season. McCallie will play at top-seeded Knoxville Webb Saturday. The loser of that game will host Baylor next week in an elimination game. The top two teams advance to the Spring Fling.
In the 5-AA championship game, Meigs County scored three runs in the fifth to beat McMinn Central 5-4.
Soddy-Daisy won the District 6-AAA championship with a 3-2 win over Ooltewah.
In 5-AAA, Cumberland County won the championship over Walker Valley with a 7-5 victory. Walker Valley advanced to the championship game after beating rival Bradley Central.
In 6-A, Sale Creek scored in the bottom of the 11th to earn the title with the 1-0 win.
Whitwell beat Lookout Valley to earn second place in the district.
Ooltewah won the 6-AAA championship with a 3-0 win over Soddy-Daisy.
Walker Valley’s girls won the Region 3-AAA team championship with a 4-3 win over Soddy-Daisy.

In the AAA South sub sectional at Bradley Central, Red Bank’s girls took first place with 148 points, followed by Ooltewah with 109, Rhea County 101, Bradley Central 57, Cleveland 54, McMinn County 48, Walker Valley 36, Soddy-Daisy 26, Cumberland County 19 and Central 17.
In the 100 meter dash, Marrissa Phinazee (RB) won with 12.18, followed by Leayn Carter (RC) and Kristen Joshen (RB).
In the 200-meter dash, Marrissa Phinazee (RB) won with 25.11, followed by Haley Horsch (O) and Angie Wells (CL).
Haley Horsch (O) won the 400-meter dash in 57.67, followed by Haley Klimecki (RB) and Leayn Carter (RC).
In the 800-meter run, Phoebe Wright (RB) won with 2:21.82, followed by Anita McClure (RB) and Cacy Burnette (CL).
The 1,600-meter run winner was Cacy Burnette (CL) with a time of 5:34.61, followed by Tiffany Palmer (CL) and Brittany Evans (WV).

Robbs also was the winner in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.13, edging Jackie Pickel (BC) while Samantha Landsen (O) was third.
In the 4x100 relay, Red Bank (Kristen Joshen, Arzetta Grays, Haley Klimecki, Marrissa Phinazee) was first with 49.60, followed by Ooltewah and Central.
In the 4x200 relay, Ooltewah ( LaQuita Kelley, Meredith Shetter, Samantha Landsen, Jamarva Norman) won with 1:51.32, followed by Red Bank and Rhea County.
The 4x400 winning relay team from Red Bank (Porshia Crutcher, Marrissa Phinazee, Phoebe Wright, Haley Klimecki) had a time of , followed by Rhea County and Cleveland.
In the 4x800 relay, Bradley Central (Mandi Elliott, Amber Kienlen, Brynn McCracken, Jackie Pickel) took first with 10:25.00, followed by Rhea County and Walker Valley.
