Why do I love J. Roddy Walston so much? Maybe it’s a common bond I share with the fellow first-initialer. More likely, it’s his sweat-soaked stage show. Just check out this picture of him after his last gig here. He’s obviously left it all out there.
He’ll be rip-rocking again Thursday night at Midtown, a place that has been hosting more live music of late. In the short down time since his last visit J. Roddy’s been busy. He’s got a new track up here, and one of his older songs can be heard on the trailer for “Alleyball,” an indie film that features a guy you might have seen in “Wedding Crashers.”
Admission is $7 and The Bohannons support. I’ll be there.
