Chattanooga State Technical Community College is launching a construction institute this fall that will help train skilled workers for local companies, officials said today.
The Building and Construction Institute of the Southeast includes the addition of three new programs —; associate degrees in construction engineering technology and construction management and a one-year certificate in construction trades. The institute is costing less than $100,000 to run and will bring in more than that each year, Chattanooga State President Jim Catanzaro said.
“This is a response to requests of business and industry leaders,” he said.
