The seventh person died Tuesday as a result of last week's crash of a Greyhound bus near Manchester, Tenn.
Khansa Abdus-Rabbani, 44, of Atlanta died in Nashville from "massive injuries to her chest and abdomen," according to John Howser, Vanderbilt University Medical Center spokesman.
One woman injured in the Oct. 3 bus accident remains in critical condition at Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga.
Sharon Surles of Saginaw, Mich., is being treated in Erlanger's Intensive Care Unit. She was the only crash victim still hospitalized Tuesday.
Another crash victim, 48-year-old Bernard Short of Buffalo, N.Y., was released from the hospital late Monday.
"My mother is desperately fighting for her life," Mrs. Surles' daughter told hospital officials.
The family reports that Mrs. Surles' injuries include a severe wound to her right leg, but asked that no further details be released.
The family wants to thank everyone who is supporting Ms. Surles with their thoughts and prayers, hospital officials said. In response to inquiries they have had, the family says no official fund has been set up to benefit Mrs. Surles.
The bus wrecked in the early morning hours of Oct. 3 after a passenger attacked the bus driver, cutting his throat with a box cutter. Six people, including the attacker, were dead at the scene and 34 were injured.
