Coming Sunday

In the past year, sock makers across East Tennessee and Northeast Alabama struggled against a new force to the south. Since the implementation of the Central American Free Trade Agreement in April 2006, imports of cotton, wool and man-made socks from Honduras have nearly doubled. Many fear thousands of sock production jobs soon could move to Honduras if some type of trade relief is not granted.
