Odds and ends

This week I look at a few odds and ends, programs and services that seem promising, as well as a few newer tech trends.
The emergence of so called Web 2.0 technologies has made it possible to simulate desktop programs and even hardware online, as is evidenced by virtual PBX systems. I discuss one such system — RingCentral — in my podcast.
