Law firm names Jacobs shareholder
Philip M. Jacobs has become a shareholder in the law firm of Logan-Thompson PC in Cleveland, Tenn.
He joined the firm three years ago and has worked in the areas of domestic relations, personal injury and criminal defense.
He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and earned his law degree from Mississippi School of Law.
He is marred to Meg Jacobs, who is a reading coordinator with the Teen Learning Center.
Miller joins staff at T.C. Thompson
Dr. Lewis McCoy Miller has joined the pediatric neurology staff of T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
He graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine.
He completed his residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Salem, N.C., and trained as a fellow in pediatric neurology at the University Baptist Medical Center.
He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Zurawick hospitalist at T.C.Thompson
Dr. Jason Zurawick has become a member of the medical staff of T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
He serves as a full-time hospitalist at Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Zurawick graduated from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn., and received his medical degree from Quillen College of Medicine, also in Johnson City.
He completed his pediatric residency and fellowship training at the UT College of Medicine Chattanooga at Erlanger. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
T.C. Thompson adds Brown to staff
Dr. Whitney Brown has become a member of the pedatric endocrinology staff of T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine after graduating from Samford University. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of South Carolina and then trained as a fellow in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
McDade receives pro designation
Brent A. McDade, who is associated with Decosimo Advisory Services, has received accredited senior appraiser status with the American Society of Appraisers.
The society represents more than 5,000 appraisers and is a professional group that accredits appraisers in personal property, gems and jewelry, business valuation, real property, machinery and technical specialties and appraisal review and management.
Zajac to manage bicycle factory
Jeff Zajac has been named plant manager of American Bicycle Group and oversees the factory located in Ooltewah.
Mr. Zajac is a graduate of Indiana University and formerly was associated with the Lynskey brand of bikes, where he managed materials and scheduling of bicycle manufacturing, an ABG release said.
ABG CEO Peter Hurley said “We are extremely delighted to have Jeff joining the team and look forward to his proficiency in overseeing the daily operation of the plant.”

Attorney James Stevens, formerly of Chattanooga, has been elected to partnership in the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton, effective Jan. 1.
The 1993 Baylor School graduate practices in the corporate department of the law firm’s Atlanta office.
Kilpatrick Stockton is a full-service international law firm with more than 500 attorneys in nine offices across the world.
