Tennessee: Vols’ Vinson, Langley suspended

KNOXVILLE — Brent Vinson, a sophomore cornerback, and Donald Langley, a redshirt freshman defensive tackle, will not make the trip to Pasadena, Calif., this weekend for Tennessee’s Labor Day football season opener at UCLA.

Coach Phillip Fulmer said the suspension was related to the athletic department’s class attendance policy. He said, however, that both could play in the Vols’ second game and home opener against Alabama-Birmingham.

Neither Vinson nor Langley is a starter, but both are expected to contribute this season.

For more information, see Tuesday’s sports section.
