Twenty-eight officers from agencies in southeast Tennessee, northwest Georgia, West Virginia and Kentucky are spending this week in a basic sniper observer course hosted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The course — taught annually — also helps create links between the FBI and officers at smaller agencies.

I WOULD LOVE TO BE A POLICE SNIPER! I KNOW I HAVE THE MARKSMANSHIP TO PASS THEIR TEST. WITH A .22-250 BROWNING A-BOLT VARMIT RIFLE I HAVE, I CAN PUT HOLES INSIDE A CIRCLE THE SIZE OF A DIME AT 100 YARDS ALL DAY LONG. I WISH THEY WOULD GIVE ME A CHANCE TO PROVE MY MYSELF. I CAN ALSO DO IT WITH THE .308 ROUND THEY USE. IF ANY OFFICERS SEE THIS AND WILL GIVE ME A CHANCE, WRITE IT IN THE COMMENTS AND LEAVE A MESSAGE. GIVE ME A CHANCE AND I WILL PROTECT AND SERVE!!!!
