Tennessee: Benton Banking transition complete

First Volunteer Bank has completed the transition from Benton Banking Co., including the system conversion and sign changeover at four Benton Banking Co. locations.

Banks in Benton, Tenn., Ocoee, Tenn., Delano, Tenn., and Charleston, Tenn., will now bear the First Volunteer Bank name.

First Volunteer Corp. bought Benton Banking Co. in December 2007. Also included with the purchase was T.B. Isbell Insurance Agency. Earlier this year, it became First Volunteer Insurance.

“We are excited to have finalized this transaction and look forward to serving our customers in Polk and Bradley Counties under the First Volunteer Bank name,” said Patti W. Steele, president and chief executive of First Volunteer Bank.
