Tennessee Vols get good report from X-rays of J.P. Prince’s ankle

by Wes Rucker

KNOXVILLE — Sunday X-rays of J.P. Prince’s left ankle were negative, but the University of Tennessee men’s basketball player probably won’t play Tuesday night against Marquette.

Prince, a 6-foot-7 junior wing, missed No. 8 UT’s upset loss at Temple on Saturday after injuring the ankle in Friday’s walk-through practice.

Volunteers coach Bruce Pearl said Prince, the reigning Southeastern Conference sixth man of the year, was “probably doubtful” for the neutral-site game in Nashville against No. 24 Marquette.
