Justin Townes Earle on this week's MUSICcast

Justin Townes Earle is the son of the legendary Americana singer/songwriter Steve Earle. At only 25-year-old, Justin is already poised to possibly match, if not surpass, his father's success. He has already released an EP called "Yuma" and is scheduled to release his first full-length album, "The Good Life, " in March. Critics are hailing Justin Townes Earle as the next big thing in roots music. We were extremely fortunate to have Justin perform on the TFP MUSICcast. I have a feeling that in a few years we'll need backstage passes at the Ryman auditorium to get anywhere near him. He's just THAT good.

Some wonderful music for your weekend:

Shannon Whitworth and her band will perform tonight at the Barking Legs Theater. Shannon is a former member of the bluegrass band, The Biscuit Burners. Tickets are $10. Showtime is 8p.m.

A couple of tribute bands take the stage at Rhythm n' Brews this weekend. Tonight, Slippery When Wet: a Bon Jovi Tribute will perform. On Saturday, Appetite for Destruction: A Guns n' Roses Tribute is scheduled. Both shows begin at 9:30p.m.

On Tuesday night, Hoots and Hellmouth will try their best to collapse the stage at Rhythm n' Brews. Find out if they succeed beginning at 9:30p.m.

Have a great weekend, folks.
