Howard student arrested after bomb threat

A Howard School of Academics and Technology student was arrested this afternoon for allegedly making a bomb threat this morning, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Max Templeton said.

The arrest was made after a joint investigation by school administrators, students, school resource officers and a sheriff’s department investigator, Sgt. Templeton said in a news release issued this afternoon.

The male student has been charged with one felony count of filing a false report, the sergeant said.
