Hamilton County: Woman arrested, man sought in string of car burglaries

Kandi Summers, 34, was arrested and a warrant issued for James Perry, 36, for breaking into at least two vehicles last Tuesday in The Pocket Wilderness area of Soddy-Daisy, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said.

There have been 81 calls for a number of car burglaries, along with assaults and other crimes in the area of The Pocket Wilderness at 300 Montlake Road, said Lt. Max Templeton with the Sheriff’s Office.

“What they’re doing is just knocking windows out of cars, reaching in and grabbing stuff,” Lt. Templeton said. “People are leaving computers, those navigation systems, pocket books, bill folds, jewelry and they are (stealing) just about anything that’s worth something in there.”
