Man drowns at Little River dam site

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — Authorities say a 46-year-old man drowned at Little River when he fell from the top of Lahausage Dam.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said a rescue team recovered the body of Bobby Wayne Davis.

The drowning occurred Wednesday afternoon in the East Fork of Little River near the dam.

Harris said Davis was on an outing with friends at the time of the accident.

The victim’s hometown was unavailable.
