Hamilton County: Deputies search for two missing people

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating two unrelated missing persons cases.

The first is a 50-year-old Ooltewah man who hasn’t been heard from since around 7:30 a.m. Monday, said Deputy Dusty Stokes, a sheriff’s spokesman. The second is a 19-year-old Soddy-Daisy woman.

Haden B. Smith was last seen in the FlagStone subdivision in the Ooltewah area and drives a red, 2004 two-door Infiniti sports car with the license plate 530-QWC, said Mr. Stokes.

He was wearing a black-and-white horizontal-striped golf shirt and black pants. He stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies suggest Mr. Smith may be close to a camping or fishing area, Mr. Stokes said.

Aimee Wambolt of Soddy-Daisy was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Old Dayton Pike and Lee Pike, Mr. Stokes said.

When last seen, Ms. Wambolt was wearing navy-colored shorts, a purple shirt with flowers on it and red shoes. Ms. Wambolt is a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information on the location of Ms. Wambolt or Mr. Smith, please contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at (423) 622-0022.
