There is more to do at Stone Mountain Park than a climb to the top of the granite mountain. Below is a list of some of the park’s attractions. For a complete list, show schedules and information, visit stonemountainpark.com.

Sky Hike — Trek through the tree tops on the nation’s largest family adventure course. You choose the route, so no two are the same. You can choose from a 12-foot course for beginners or an almost 40-foot course for the more adventurous.

Crossroads — Visitors are transported back in time to an 1870s Southern town bustling with activity.

Summit Skyride — The top attraction, this high-speed Swiss cable car provides a stunning view of the Confederate Memorial Carving.

Ante-bellum Plantation and farmyard — The Ante-bellum Plantation is a collection of original buildings from around Georgia built between 1783 and 1875. Period furniture and decorations can also be seen.

Scenic Railroad — The train is a locomotive from the 1940s with open-air cars that takes guests on a five-mile excursion.

“Tall Tales of the South” movie — All of your senses are engaged through a 3D film and spectacular special effects.

Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf — Putter around on a miniature golf course based on the real-life adventures of the Great Locomotive Chase.

The Great Barn — The barn offers an exciting adventure for families and children (primarily ages 5-12), featuring super slides, trampoline floors, climbing structures and more than 65 interactive games.

The Robert E. Lee carving is as tall as a ninestory building.

Stone Mountain is estimated to weigh more than a trillion pounds.

Granite originally mined from Stone Mountain was used in the foundation of the Georgia State Capitol building, the steps of the east wing of the United States Capitol, the dome of the Federal Gold Depository at Fort Knox, Ky., and locks for the Panama Canal. Frank Lloyd Wright used it to build the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.

Camp Highland Outpost — Outdoor challenges for the family including rock walls to climb, plus a low ropes course with three line bridges, tube nets and zip line.

Ride the Ducks — Learn about the park’s history in a splashy way on these amphibious vehicles.

Paddlewheel riverboat — Cruise the tranquil waters of Stone Mountain Lake on the Scarlett O’Hara, an authentic side-wheeler that carries 150 passengers.

25th anniversary laser show — The park’s most popular summer tradition features laser lights, graphics, characters and fireworks.

Discovering Stone Mountain Museum at Memorial Hall — The museum features artifacts that span 12,000 years, from ancient civilizations that lived on the mountain to the present-day park.

Pedal boat — Set sail on a 30-minute excursion.

Antique Car and Treasure Museum — See antique Chevrolets, Mustangs and a Tucker.
