Investment chief at Unum retires

Chattanooga-based Unum Group announced Friday that David Fussell, senior vice president and chief investment officer, will retire after 42 years with the company.

With Mr. Fussell’s retirement, Frank Williamson has been named senior vice president of capital management and chief investment officer, effective immediately. Mr. Williamson most recently served as senior vice president of corporate development and strategic planning.

Mr. Fussell will remain with Unum until July 1 to help with the transition.
