State group files ethics complaint against Beck

by Matt Wilson

The president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research filed ethics complaints against Hamilton County Commissioner Greg Beck and seven others local government officials Friday for not filing required financial disclosure forms.

Drew Johnson, president of the Nashville-based organization that promotes conservative economic policies, said he filed the complaints to “send a message” to some 1,200 local officials statewide who have not filed their forms.

Mr. Beck, a Democrat, did not have a form on file at the Tennessee Ethics Commission’s Web site.

Mr. Johnson said he filed complaints against four Democrats and four Republicans.

The personal financial disclosures are required to determine which conflicts of interest local officials may have.

Just great. This man wants to be Sheriff and he already has an ethics complaint? Maybe he needs different role models other than Billy long and Ward Crutchfield.
