Two charged in Bonny Oaks Grocery robbery

Chattanooga police have arrested and charged two men in connection with the robbery of the Bonny Oaks Grocery on Thursday night, according to a police statement.

Officers received a report of robbery around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.

A description of the robbers was broadcast over police radio, and later a patrol officer spotted David Franklin, 18, and Raphael ArRahmaan, 18, the statement read.

Mr. Franklin was arrested then. Mr. ArRahmaan fled and was taken into custody at his home at 7759 Nautical Way, police said.

Both men were taken to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery, according to the statement.
