I love my job at Little Miss Mag Child Care Center

Do I love my job? Well, yes! For twenty years I have worked two days each week with preschoolers, teaching them music! And they love it! And they are good at it.

But that’s only a few hours of the twenty I give to Little Miss Mag Child Care Center every week. For a good part of the twenty hours I work in the office, helping our director with piles of paperwork (and yes, we are a downtown, non-profit preschool with lots of government guidelines to follow). Initiating and seeing to it that many exciting field trip programs and visitor programs are available to give us a beautifully rounded curriculum makes up the balance of these hours………some spent at home.

We are a wonderful non-profit preschool; just ask our parents who enjoy a sliding fee scale for excellent care of their little ones.

The dedicated teachers, our director, and our parents are thrilled with our program, and I have never felt so needed and appreciated in all my life. How could I not love my job?

Loving your job is knowing that you are doing something worthwhile that may not be provided if you were not available. Loving your job is knowing that you are contributing something valuable to the coming generations. Loving your job comes from the appreciation you get from your co-workers. Loving your job is knowing that the boss can’t fire you! Yes, I am a volunteer.
