Dalton, Ga.-based Shaw Industries Group said Wednesday it will invest around $60 million over the next five years to expand its operation in Lexington County, S.C., and create 350 jobs.
Shaw has 400 people at the facility and more than 1,500 employees in that state.
Two years ago, the company purchased the former Allied Signal/Honeywell facility, where it currently operates. It will convert an unused part of that facility for polymer chip production that will be used to make carpet yarn, according to the company.
