East Brainerd’s Stonebrook will have fitness center, two parks

Name: Stonebrook

Location: Ooltewah-Ringgold Road near East Brainerd Road

Number of units: 72 condos in Phase One; 74 in Phase Two

Prices: Low $200,000s to mid-$200,000s

Developers: Stonebrook Partners, Nick and Sally Akins and James and Win Pratt. The Akinses own Lifestyle Communities of Tennessee, an Epcon Communities franchise. Epcon has more than 140 franchises in 30 states, and has built more than 25,000 houses. The Pratts are builders and developers of numerous area subdivisions, including Reunion.

DETAILS

Design: Condos will be built in Epcon’s European Country style, with cement fiber boards, brick and stone.

Size: 1,440 to 1,860 square feet

Amenities: Clubhouse with fitness center; the clubhouse will have such activities as bridge and book clubs, Mrs. Akins said; swimming pool; two neighborhood parks; nature area; walking trail; community backs up to Hurricane Creek; lake

Time: Reservations are being taken now, contracts will be available for signing in May and construction starts in June. The clubhouse will be ready by December or January, and the swimming pool will be done next spring.

Floor plans: Single level; two plans have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, while two plans have two bedrooms and two bathrooms

Convenience: Stonebrook is down the street from the new Super Bi-Lo, Mr. Pratt said and is convenient to Hamilton Place mall and Interstate 75.

Condo owners association: Will take care of exterior maintenance and water bills.
