University of Tennessee at Chattanooga assistant basketball coach Rodney English has resigned, according to head coach John Shulman.
English will likely be replaced by Rick Cabrera once paperwork is completed at UTC. Cabrera was the head coach at Lackawanna College, a junior college in Scranton, Pa.
English worked for two seasons under Shulman and was responsible for coaching post players with a heavy emphasis on recruiting.
Shulman and Cabrera first met when Shulman was an assistant coach at Tennessee Tech and Cabrera was a graduate assistant.
