The defending national champion Tennessee Lady Vols won easily tonight at Purdue against Purdue in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, 78-52. The Lady Vols led 35-8 and 63-32 on the way to coach Pat Summitt’s 100th NCAA tournament victory — the first coach, men’s or women’s, to reach that milestone. That also continued Tennessee’s streak of reaching at least the final 16 every year of the women’s event.
