Unum cites claims satisfaction

Satisfaction among people submitting short-term disability claims with Unum Group in 2007 exceeded the industry average, according to research by JHA.

According to Unum, the research found the Chattanooga-based insurer’s overall satisfaction rating averaged 92 percent in 2007. This compares to satisfaction levels averaging 85 percent that JHA has observed in other claimant research, Unum said.

“The dedication and strength of our claims professionals are clearly reflected in these survey results,” said Pamela Davis, Unum’s senior vice president of benefit services.
