“My mom is the reason I love fashion. She sewed my clothes when I was a kid, and she always dressed me up — although, at the time, I didn’t like it. When I look back at the pictures, the clothes were very pretty. I went through a tomboy stage, but I really do love dressing stylish. It’s fun.... I think I embody what a Chattanooga girl is and can be — independent, fashionable, with a down-home, friendly sensibility. I have always walked the beat of my own drum. I take something that is standard and add my own personal touches to it.”
